The Best Gift

It was a beautiful morning when she opened her eyes,

as the cloudless sky revealed the golden sunrise

As she glanced at the huge gifts pile,

she realized it was her birthday with a smug smile

Stepping out of her room she saw the whole mansion decorated,

but she was not surprised  with the splendor that was created.

The day was spent celebrating with her parents,

the sun had set when she eagerly awaited her friends

And soon they arrived dressed in elegance,

the decorations looking complete with their presence

They wished her and gave her the presents they bought, 

but they had no clue of whom her eyes sought

After waiting for a while she reluctantly proceeded with celebrations,

smiling all the while lest her face would betray her emotions

The party was over with her friends leaving merry and content,

now was the time for the presence of hidden disappointment

Dejected, she trudged towards the garden all alone,

she thought to herself what could have gone wrong

Come what may I'll be there he had promised,

how could he have forgotten, how could he have missed

Tears filled her eyes turning everything into a blur,

it was at that moment when she saw a figure

And there he was standing with a big grin on her face,

she found in herself fierce happiness taking disappointment's place

The tears returned but this time it was different,

it reflected the joy of having her best friend

His face looked exhausted his hair an untidy mess,

he was not rich this could be made out from his dress

"Happy birthday dear, Sorry m late" he panted,

her best friend was here that was all she wanted

"Sorry couldn't buy you a gift" said he as his face became sad,

"you silly boy" she exclaimed 'you're the best gift I've ever had"

I just can't let him go

This lie's become a part of me
For months, I've played this game
Acting like it doesn't hurt
Each time I hear his name

Ignoring what's inside of me
Pretending I've moved on
As if the feelings I once had
For him are somehow gone

Spending each and every day
With happiness and laughs
Forgetting all our memories
Avoiding photographs

But last night when I saw him
For the first time since he left
My heart stopped for a moment...
I couldn't catch my breath

When suddenly it hit me
As the tears started to flow
That even after all this time...
I just can't let him go!!

If you can't be there

If you can't be there......don't. Stop telling people that you will be there. It's better to tell people the truth up front. That way, you can spare some feelings and you don't get caught in a bunch of lies/trouble.

If you have something to say........say it or shut it. Don't go behind peoples backs. There is no reason to say it to someone else if you can't tell it to the person it's about.

If you want it.......go for it. Take a risk. Don't always play it safe or you'll die wondering.

If you love someone.......let them know. Anything could happen to you or the person so tell them while you have a chance. It can change everything.

If you're stuck........ make the best of it. There is obviously nothing you can do, so whining and complaining isn't going to do anything. There is a difference between expressing how you feel and complaining. Put forth your best attitude and you just may get out of the mess......possibly with a different perspective.

If you're in trouble........take time to think about it. Nothing good ever comes out of rash decisions. If it's important enough to trouble you, then it's important enough to think about. Think deep you'll figure out something.

If you are being taken advantage of.......let go. Get rid of all thoughts of the person. There is no reason to continue to surround yourself with the person who is taking advantage of you.

If you're going to criticize someone else........admit your own mistakes first. Everyone makes mistakes but be aware of your own before you point out someone elses'.

Its been long since we last met

Its been long since we last met,
but, seems I can never forget,
All the love that we used to share,
and when you were always there,
They never saw my tears coming out,
deep inside, my heart was bursting out,
They say I am a fool to feel this sad,
but, they don't know things are very bad,
So if you can just guide me through,
coz even if you don't I'll always love you..!!

Please forget the one who caused this aching.
I know I am the one who placed him there,
But he was not true and I cannot share.
When I gave him my heart he promised the world
But that promise he shared with more than one girl,

The person who...

The person who cares lot for others..........is the one who needs more care than others.
The person who makes other laugh & smile all time..........is the one who holds lot of pain in heart.
The person who tries to be a good friend to all..........is the one who needs a best friend for own.
The person who always smiles & says I'm fine..........is the one who is broken at heart but still strong enough to believe that at the end everything is going to be fine .

Don't hold back your feelings

I realized something yesterday - that holding back your true feelings can be worse than rejection, fear of conflict or fear of getting hurt... It is better to know an outcome, no matter how hurtful it could be than to hide our feelings and always wonder, what if I'd just said what was on my mind or expressed how I feel? When you speak your truth, you honor who you are as a person. You deserve to be heard, no matter what... your feelings count. Yes it takes courage, and yes your voice may shake, but the rewards are tremendous as you step into your power.
